Hi, this is
Keith Ward, owner/president of Full Quiver Productions. I want to invite
you to become a part of my website.
"Community"
is a much different word than when I was growing up on the 70s. Then, it
was folks who lived in your neighborhood. Now, that neighborhood is the
Internet, so your community can, and usually does, span continents.
For this
website, the community is all of us engaged in a conversation; it's not
just me jabbering on in front of a camera. I want you involved. Here's how
you can do it.
Since this
is a video-centric site, I'd like to see you contribute via video as much
as possible. I'll be vlogging (video blogging, for the uninitiated) on a
regular basis, and would like to develop several regular (and many
irregular) vloggers. If you've got something to contribute that you think
is worthy, please
contact me and I'll give you further instructions.
I'm also
looking to put short films up on my site. They can be fiction or
non-fiction; documentaries would be great.
What do you
need to know about vlogs or other films? The most important factor is that
they reflect a Christian worldview. To that end, they cannot have any
vulgarity or profanity. And I mean none. That does not mean they can't be
challenging in terms of content. Difficult issues can and should be
discussed by Christians (even whether or not Harry Potter is evil!), and I
want that on the site. But I will not tolerate blasphemy (and yes, I
consider the phrase "Oh my G-d" blasphemy) or swearing.
I am most
interested in films that have a Christian faith component. That doesn't
mean they should be sermons; in fact, preaching disguised as a film will
not make it on this website. But they should have a faith element in them,
and show something about how faith relates to the human condition. They
don't have to mention God, Jesus, church or anything related to
Christianity. But they should steer away from nihilism, post-modernism or
other corrupt philosophies (yes, Google those terms if you're not sure
what they are). Funny stuff is great; just not stuff that relies on
inappropriate topics or language to attain its goals.
I truly hope
you'll grab a trowel and some mortar, and start laying some bricks with
me. I look forward to building this community together.
