Great news
-- the movie is available on Amazon.com right now!
Follow
this link.
We’re trying to build some excitement
for the release, and you can help us. How? By asking for it! If you have a
local Christian bookstore, for example, stop in and tell them about a new
movie coming out called “The Church”, and that you’d like to get a copy.
If several customers do that, the store will start looking into how to get
some copies. Same thing with Amazon.com, Wal-Mart, Target, Blockbuster,
Netflix, etc. Any outlet that sells DVDs is a candidate.
In addition, if you attend a church,
please spread the word that this is now available. If it’s possible to put a
notice in your church bulletin or on your church’s Website, that would be
great. If you’re in a small group study, you could show the movie, or if
your church has a “movie night,” maybe you could schedule it to be shown.
Be creative! If you’d like me to come and speak about it, I’d be delighted
to. I’m available to promote the movie in any way possible. Any questions
about how to get copies can be directed to
me.

Note about the first review from "C. Owen": C. Owen is a childhood
friend of mine, with whom I had a falling out several years ago. This
review is an obvious attempt to settle a personal score. Take that into
account when you read the review. I do not have a problem with a
legitimately negative review; everyone is entitled to his or her opinion.
I do have a problem with someone who tries to hurt someone else
publicly, for personal reasons.
But C. Owens' review is
not borne of a desire to warn people against an inferior movie; it's a
childish attempt to thumb his nose at the filmmaker. Just something to
remember.
Over the coming weeks, we'll be adding
testimonials from folks who saw the movie in screenings in and
around the D.C./Baltimore area. These are real people giving their
real, unvarnished opinions on "The Church." Click on the "Play"
button to the right (or at the bottom of the video window) for the
first review of "The Church". Click here

"The Church": It's Not Your Typical "Christian" Movie
Pastor Ian Gallagher has it all: a loving
wife, great kids, and a church that adores him. Life's pretty good, he
thinks to himself.
But that
life is about to be shattered like an iron spike through a window. And to
keep his family together, it will take everything Pastor Ian has --
including facing the secrets of his past.
The Church
is
now available on DVD.
It has some violence (nothing really rough) and thematic elements.
There is no nudity or objectionable language.
What's going on here?
If you've been wondering what's happened to Full Quiver
Productions, don't fret: We're still here, but in a holding pattern over the
airport. Finances forced a move back to the world of paying work! I'm now
editor of a new magazine for uber-geeks called
Virtualization Review. I
have a blog there that you might enjoy, and we have lots of good content
covering the area of computer virtualization, a new technique that may
revolutionize the industry (really).
I'm still peripherally involved in filmmaking; at the
moment, mostly doing scriptwriting. But that has taken a backseat, for now,
to the magazine and its millions of associated duties.
I'm always looking for reasons to get back into it (on a
time-permitting basis, of course). If you want my help with something,
let me know.
